This article highlights an Austin home that was designed with rainwater collection in mind. We worked with the couple designing this house to create a rainwater harvesting system that fit into their overall design aesthetic and lot configuration. They wanted to have a water fall feature of rainwater cascading from their butterfly roof while it was raining. The article says that the rainwater cistern is underground when in actuality it is located down the hill, inside of a workshop building. The harvested rainwater is used to supply irrigation water to their xeriscaped landscaping and their vegetable garden.
