Natural Resources Conservation Service Grants
Periodically, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) makes Conservation Innovation Grants available in Texas.
The Texas Priorities include:
- Urban & small farm agriculture conservation;
- Innovation in agricultural systems, technology, testing, outreach, and partnerships for the broad scale application of climate smart agriculture;
- Innovation in natural resource assessment leading to improved conservation planning and application efficiency.
So if you fit in one of these priority groups and want to install a water conservation system such as a rainwater harvesting system, you could apply for these grants.
For more than 80 years, NRCS has helped people make conservation investments in their operations and local communities to support working lands, boost rural economies, and improve the quality of our soil, water, and air.
Please check out the Texas NRCS program and the Conservation Innovation Grants program to see if a current grant cycle is open. You can learn how you can apply for the grant as well.
