ENR Announces 2015 Best Green Project Award

October 6, 2015

ENR (Engineer News-Record) Texas & Louisiana announced the winners in the 2015 Best Projects competition and Bartlett Cocke won in the Best Green Project division for Dearing Elementary School in Pflugerville where we installed the rainwater harvesting system.

The system collects rainwater to be used by the school children in their garden beds. The cistern is a 8,700 gallon Corgal brand rainwater storage cistern. It measures 12’-0” diameter by 10’-9” eave height, with an overall height of 14’-4”. The outlet valve is a gate valve with a wheel that allows the children to open the valve easier.

The school was designed by Stantec.
